Jayanthi Thevarajah – Regional Specialist Based in Kuala Lumpur

Jay Thevarajah has been working in the education sector in Malaysia since 1990. Her work experience includes four years with Systematic College (now known as SEGI University College), one year with Napier University where she established their regional office in Malaysia and 16 years with the British Council. She has worked in various capacities such as counselling and advisory services management, exhibitions and events management and international development. More recently she was a key founder member of the British Council’s TNE (Transnational Education) team, which was brought together to support universities with their TNE initiatives.

Jay has first-hand experience of living and studying in the UK as she spent six years here completing her tertiary education and working.
