Yuanyuan Zhu – Regional Specialist Based in Beijing
Yuanyuan obtained her Bachelor of Law degree from Tianjin
University in China, before continuing her LLM at University van
Amsterdam. During her studies, Yuanyuan took part in a three-month
student exchange at the University of Edinburgh and a summer Law
Programme at Columbia University in the USA. During her time in the
States, Yuanyuan acquired some work experience with organisations
such as the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, the
World Trade Organization and the World Intellectual Property
Organization
After graduating, Yuanyuan pursued a career in law for three
years before making the move to journalism and working for a
magazine specialising in overseas higher education. After two
years, Yuanyuan joined Wiseway International as a UK counsellor,
where she advised students and their families on studying abroad
and guided them successfully through the admissions process.
Three years later, in April 2011, Yuanyuan joined the IDP
Beijing office as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) of North Asia and
as the UK department manager of North China.
