IDP Education has announced a major participation in this year’s Going Global 2011 conference in Hong Kong.  Running from the 10th to the 12th March, Going Global is an annual international education conference providing a specialist forum for exploring developments and issues in international education. The conference, which will host  more than 1000 international delegates, is an initiative of the British Council / Education UK  and is primarily focussed on education in the UK, but also addresses many issues of general interest to those involved in international education and student mobility.

IDP will be a Silver Sponsor of the conference and will host a booth in the delegate exhibition. A number of IDP’s senior management will be in attendance, including Arlene Griffiths, Country Manager for the UK, Peter Burges, Region Director for South East Asia and Allen Jiang, Region Director for North Asia.

This is the first time that Going Global has been held outside the UK.  “Given IDP’s  40 year commitment to  helping students from  Asian countries who wish to study overseas and our clear intent to offering the UK as a destination in 2011, this is an ideal opportunity for us to showcase our capabilities to delegates”, said Peter Burges, who is leading the IDP initiative to offer the UK as a leading education  destination to complement its existing Australia and USA student placement businesses.
